So after moving to the desert a few months ago, we have a whole new respect for what’s hot! Walks before 8 am, swimming at night and booties on the dog kind of hot. For this blog we are going to talk about what’s been hot in the design world this summer.

If there has ever been a time when we value our homes and the space we live in, I’d say it’s now. For the past few months, we have been asked to stay home.

It's that magical time of year! Today I'm channeling my inner Oprah and sharing my top 10 favorite items for the holidays!

If you are anything like me you want timeless, simple design that doesn't change with the wind, but I am still guilty of trolling Pinterest for a little bit of In the Moment Bling. A little goes a long ways and these trends are here to stay!

So, if you are anything like me you are conflicted. I am the first to admit that I love designing for the holidays, but the clutter makes me crazy. I feel like I am always one drop kick away from a Christmas Catastrophe!

Well, if your house is anything like ours, it's been a week of excitement, anticipation, denial, and procrastination (yup at least one of my kids went to class today with just a pencil and a piece of notebook paper. My minimalist!)

I know, the idea of it may give you flashbacks to a few decades ago, when every home had inexpensive shiny "faux" brass chandeliers and door knobs.
